Building Our Relationship

We're not going to walk you through every moment of the next 1,286 days, don't worry, but there are certainly some things we'd like to say about the three and a half years after our first date.

Getting to know each other was fun.  We went to see so many movies together as we're both movie buffs with fairly similar tastes so this has become one of our favorite things to do together.  As we continued to learn more and more about one another, we were both amazed at how wonderfully we seemed to fit together.  That's not to say it was all perfect, but it was (and still is) the best relationship either of us has ever experienced.

After about 6 months we decided to go on our first multi-day adventure together.  We spent several days in Lancaster, PA where we stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast, took some time with the local Amish people, and ate some truly great crab cakes and Boston clam chowder at the Blue Bird Inn.  After we got our fill of the countryside, we took our growing love to The Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, NY.  Brian has a thing for castles, so he couldn't be happier.  Our luxurious suite came with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.  Tarrytown itself is a great small town with a lot of little shops to wander through.  It was an amazing first vacation together, and it would be the first of many.

Over the next few years, we discovered that we both have a deep love for traveling.  We traveled nearby, and we traveled clear across the world.  Every trip we went on together solidified our love even further.
